These laptops are just super. They have the best screen I have ever seen on a laptop. That in itself is great. But the really superb thing is the user-friendliness, the workability of the internal parts, and the reliability of these units. They really do deserve all the accolades they get from the industry. And the technical support from Dell can't be beat. These are real people who really do care about you.
My only gripe about the whole DELL deal is that getting to the human beings on the telephone when you have a question or a problem is a major pain. I know, I know, all computer companies are like that today but it still is a major pain to have to talk to and listen to a plethora of recorded messages, mess with punching in all those crazy numbers, being put on hold, etc., etc.
One time, just for fun, I went to the Dell World Headquarters down in Round Rock near Austin Texas. I got to meet the people. And they were bright, friendly, helpful, and they fixed a problem I had with great speed. I just wish you could get over the "moat" that is the telephone system and get into the "castle" a little easier.
A DELL is your best bet these days, in my opinion, if you want a really terrific laptop. And I like the model called the Inspiron (funny name, though. Bet ol' Mike Dell himself thought that one up, huh?)
If you ever find a better laptop screen, let me know. Until then, this unit is the one on the top of the game.
