After plugging along for years with a compaq desktop, and being totally frustrated with the lack of exandability in may desktop, I took the plunge and went to Dell and got thier top machine as a notebook. My experience has been near perfect. First ordering was a snap, I went online, did my configuring then called them and in 7 minutes ordered my machine at a discount over what I configured online. My only complaint was the delay in shipping. I called 2 weeks later for an update only to find that my machine was on back order because the pentium 700 was on back-order- they offered to upgrade me to the 750 for $20. Three days later I had my machine.
I must admit I have not had time to push it to the max, but so far all is well. I couldn't ge the dvd machine to work at first one phone call and no time on hold, I was up and running in 30 seconds. The machine is very fast, user friendly and not as heavy as I would have thought.
I have taken the machine on one plane ride and was able to watch a dvd movie, it was excellent. Very clear and plently loud.
Over-all a great buy and I am very happy/
