Pros: Fast, Large Screen
Cons: Bulky
The Bottom Line: I would try to find a cheaper model though. Also, the factory load of software may not be what you'd expect in terms of Dell quality.

| techguy137's Full Review: Dell Inspiron 7500 (G650YT) PC Notebook |
I'm working on a Dell Inspiron 7500 now. 750 MHz, 256MB RAM, DVD, and some goodies. Win 2k Pro, Office 2k Pro, and some other high powered goodies.
We received 11 of these monster laptops for my Army unit and I installed all the additional software on them as well as got them configured for various users. The title of this epinion, 9 of 11, refers to the 2 that were nonoperational right out of the box. I thought there was some major hardware problem or something initially since one of them would not even run the swell Dell diagnostic test disc, but I just went for it and reloaded Win 2k Pro with all the do-dads and haven't had a problem since. These beauties have been in operation for about 2 months now and all my users are really happy with them. The real test will be if they can stand up to a good beating or a drop or two. I'll write back in a few months and give the scoop on a how these machines deal with a good Army workout.
Overall, it's a pricey machine; $3500, but it's quite impressive and seems quite durable. I was disappointed that 2 of my 11 were junk right out of the box, but with some know how I got them up.
