This fast baby packed with latest Intel Mobil Chip with Speed Step technology. Piii-850/700. It's at 850 Mhz when it's plug and it's 700 Mhz when on the road. Of course you can disable that battery saving feature, and keep it at blazing 850 Mhz all the time.
Besides the fastest Mobil Chip there is, it's also packs with
128MB of Ram
10 GB hard drive
8MB Video Ram with ATI chip set
CD-ROM
56kbps modem
Ethernet
S-video
14.1 inch active matrix screen
and the usual point stick and touch pad thing.
It's great if you like to use the old point stick and you can't find a laptop that has that. Dell include both on this Notebook.
With all this feature it's only 1.5 inch thick, and 7.7 pound with Ac Adapter plus a external floppy.
All this don't come cheap it cost $3378. Ah ah too expensive.
The problems with this laptop is that the external floppy takes up the parallel port. The hard drive is too small 10 GB, and graphic card isn't that great. That's not enough for digital video, or high end graphics. They already pack in 128MB of mem. And the best CPU. Why can't they make it perfect.
Dell's Customer Service is the best there is, so don't worry if you have problem with their product they will take care it right away.
