What I like the best
- It comes with a System Recovery program that restores the configs and settings files to an earlier date. So if you installed something that's incompatible with XP, you could always reverse the installation and restore the computer's configurations to an earlier date.
Appearance
- Its titanium case is strong and good-looking.
- The 14.1'' display is a bit small.
Configuration
- The keyboard light sucks, can't light anything.
- No USB 2.0 support.
- No Firewire support, it still has the old parallel port
Battery
- Battery life is 2.5 hours, too short for long uses.
- Takes 2.5 hours to charge the battery, which costs too much time for the efficient user.
- Only one battery comes with a new purchase. If you want to install a second battery, you'll have to insert it into the UltraBay by removing the CD-RW/DVD.
Hard Disk
- Hard disk feels fast.
- 40 GB is too small. And it depletes fast: after installing Photoshop, Pagemaker, Cygwin, MikTex, MS Office, Borland C++Builder, and a bunch of other useful software, the empty space quickly slumps to 20 GB.
