Everybody says don't buy Sony because of the service, but nobody much reviews the machines. The 670 is a desktop replacement. 16" screen is excellent, as is 64MB vid memory. Keyboard better than avg. Not up to IBM. At 2.6GHz should seem faster. I have not benchmarked much. 8 lbs doesn't seem that heavy for an occasional traveller. It's 4 overall cause I imagine it could be faster. On comp.sys.laptops they say 3.06 GHz Sager is best, but Sony ran 7147 3DMarks, which was a little better than the Sager 8886, so who knows. Sony offers a straight up 30 day return, so I bought direct from Sony Style instead of slightly cheaper elsewhere.
