Excellent Desktop Replacement

Purchased this notebook as a "desktop replacement" about six months ago, and am very glad I did. It has done everything I hoped it would.
I had intended to use my existing desktop monitor, and a full-sized keyboard for daily use, but have ended up using nothing but the notebook's keyboard and monitor, because they are both good enough (and I've actually become so accustomed to the notebook's keyboard, that a full-sized model now feels too big).
One really nice feature is the number of different memory/expansion cards it will accept. There are three different slots. I haven't seen many other notebooks that have that.
Add to that, that it has: 3 USB 2.0 ports, 32MB NVidia graphics, 40GB HD, video out port (for viewing on a TV), good software control of several features (energy saving, touchpad, etc.) and just generally a nicely laid out design, and it serves the role of "desktop replacement" very well.
True, the battery life is nothing to boast of. But given my uses, that's no big deal. I don't mind using the power adapter for extended periods, and the battery lasts long enough for those times when I don't want to use the adapter.
My only complaint would be the heat which is generated. It can get downright uncomfortable at times. But all things considered, that hasn't been enough to sour my view of the computer overall. That heat only seems to occur during heavy graphics usage, and even then, only after several hours (and on a hot day...).
Oh, and one more item: I did need to call tech support once, and was impressed with how it was handled.
