We really love this laptop. Upon opening, everything worked perfectly and smoothly. We can't say much about tech support because we haven't had any problems! We purchased this computer to replace our Desk Top....a great decision indeed. It's convenient and has a lot of perks. We lover the CD Burner and the DVD playback is very good--both graphics and sound. Also, the screen size is very pleasing to the eye..nice and big. This Toshiba is very fast and very good for multi-tasking.
The only negative I can find is that the battery power seems short on lifespan, however it isn't an issue for us because we use the power adapter for the most part.
One other thing to note is that this laptop is very quiet and has fans that keep it cool to the touch (even after having it on for hours on end). I also like Toshiba's "power management" in which you can choose how you would like to use the energy. For example, if the batter is at 70% life you can choose at what capacity you want the computer to function at (maybe the monitor brightness dims, or the hard drive is turned off). It's nice to have the control and the options.
Hope this helps. We aren't computer techies but did do a lot of research on many of the laptops out there before investing in this Toshiba. We wanted reliability and functionality. We feel we got both. We don't have ANY regrets and are enjoying this laptop very much. We highly recommend it.
