Pros: Looks good, big and powerful, blue LED in middle, Remote bass boost controller. Cheap
Cons: Nothing at this price.
The Bottom Line: If more power is needed, buy a amp has a bigger RMS rating, but if you want loud bass and high quality sound, get this amp.

| simonz's Full Review: Legacy Blue Diamond LA2080 Car Amp |
First of all I'd like to make sure everyone understand peak power and actual RMS power. What this amp labeled is peak power at an instant, and in owners manual it is rated 640 watt RMS @ 2 ohms. Which make sense because there are two 25 amp fused on the amp, makes a total of 50 amp fuse. 50 amps would be the max current amp can pull, that times 12 volts would be 600 watts RMS, and voltage is around 14.4 volts when car started, so the amp can put out 670W RMS power. Which is much much lower than 2400, but still is very good.
I just bought this 2400 watt amp on ebay about a month ago. Also bought some xsite subs with it. The subs pound so hard that my rear mirror came loose, and when bass hits, the trunk, rear bumper, license plate, the broken rear view mirror, left rear view mirror viborates violently. Which is qite satisfying.
The system I built with around $300 (all off ebay, Legacy BD 2400W amp, two 12" 800w xsite subs, capacitor and a box), sounds better and looks better than one of my frinds who had an alpine 1000 Watt amp and two 12" rockford fotage subs, although his subs pounded just as hard but subs were maxed out badly. While my subs are still moving freely back and forth.
There is no fan on the amp, but with only 640 Watt RMS power, the heat sink on the amp is big enough. This is summer and I usually have the bass all the way up, and have never shut off on me.
