| Bopher's Full Review: Lexmark Jet X1185 All-In-One InkJet Printer |
The Lexmark X1185 All-In-One does exactly what it says on the box. It prints, scans and copies. If you are looking for something cheap and easy to setup this is the printer for you. If you are technically inclined you can even combine the copy/scan option with a fax/data modem, which most computers now if they have a modem included in them have the option anyway, you can also send faxes. I bought one of these for myself then a week later our printer at work passed on and we needed something that could do it all for us. So I made the suggestion and we've used it ever since.
Could be a little quieter sometimes and the ink if you buy the Lexmark brand can be on the expensive side ($35 for a black cart) but if you turn down the print settings and don't mind a little less quality (honestly I see no difference) you can really stretch those cartridges out. When adjusting to a lower setting you do get a little more speed out of it. I print a lot of graphs and table that have to do with our schedule at work and the lines always come out crystal clear and straight on the pages.
This also runs as my network printer at home and it works quickly over the network. This printer would really be everything if Lexmark had added one little ethernet port and made it so you could print, scan and copy of the network.
