For the Price you can't beat it

Pros: Easy to install and easier to use
Cons: Very noisy on start up, and a little slow when coming out of standby.
The Bottom Line: If you want an easy to install and easy to use printer this is the printer for you. Lexmark has really made this user friendly.

I have had two other Lexmark Printers, the Z73 and the 1150. I was very satisfied with both. So when I upgraded my computer and had lost the software for the 1150 I thought this was a good time to step up to the next Lexmark. The price of $119 was acceptable. I checked the price of the ink cartridges and found that cartridge’s were about a dollar cheaper than the one’s for the 1150. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had increased the size of the black cartridge since before I went through about 2 – 1. One thing I was disappointed in was the new printer was the noise. When first starting up this has to be one of the noisiest printers I have owned. To be honest I looked to see what the clunking sound was!
The print quality for a ink jet printer is exceptional. I do like the fact that it is a stand a lone copier. It is nice not to have to turn on the computer if you want a copy of something. It does have a 24 second countdown when being brought out of standby, so don’t be in a hurry if you want a “quick” copy of something. However, it is faster than going to the store
This printer is extremely easy to use and is a good choice for the computer challenged or the beginner. It’s very easy to install and easier to use. I have tried using different papers in it and it seems to print well on all types. It will occasionally print crooked but for light use I wouldn’t condemn it for that. I do have to give it credit for the speed 19 pages per minute black and 14 color is not too shabby. It’s faster than most color printers. It’s even faster than my black laser printer.
My husband and I use our printer a lot he uses it for work and I use it for school so for us it probably time to move up to a color laser printer. However it seems to be serving us well for now.
