I'm here to say that this linksys IP am is a great little piece of engineering. You normally only see complaints about gear because most satisfied users don't write reviews. I had this unit up and working in less than five minutes out of the box. The picture is pretty darn good at the best setting. Low light performance isn't great. Normal light filtering in the windows results in a perfect picture. It isn't set up for outside monitoring as the unit is not weather-proof. You could mount it in a weather-proof enclosure outside and add a cheap neutral density filter from the cam store in front of the lens. If you are using this to watch grandma or the kids, it is just right. At the current low price, there is nothing that can compare. The new linksys 802.11G version makes a 640 pixel picture, but if you use it over the net, you would probably use it at 320 anyway. What a cool device- at a great price!
