Pros: Easy to use, nice friendly menus make recording easy and intuitive

Cons: Loss of picture quality in HQ (high quality) recording mode

Very easy to use compared to other models I've tried. However, the preceivable loss in picture quality when transfering from my 1.3 mega pixel minidv camcorder made this unacceptable for me.

The tv tuner also is low quality and loss of picture quality here also noticeable after recording to dvd.

I used the firewire connection for the camcorder.

A philips dvdr615 is a little more expensive but the recording quality is much higher.
