tdv218's Full Review: Logitech TrackMan® Trackball (904353-0403)
I just purchased this trackball mouse because the one I had was an optical mouse with buttons on the side for your thumb and ring finger. The problem I was having with those buttons is that every time you want to pick up the mouse, you hit the buttons which takes you forward or back if you're on a web page - a pain in the gluteus maximus!
So I got this mouse and quickly found that thumb control is not intuitive for me. Its like pointing at something with your thumb...who does that? I immediately noticed that I wanted my pointer finger to move the track ball - very frustrating. I also find that my thumb doesn't move the cursor as far up and down (the screen) as it does side to side and there is no way to adjust this in setup.
If you like pointing with your thumb, this is a good quality mouse that seems to work well and has adequate options in the setup. Maybe I'll get used to it. For what its worth.
