Bought this color gps online about a month ago brand new for 280 shipped to my front door. As with all my reviews, this is another short and sweet review. I've used it to find stores, mark my favorite fishing spots, and just usual playing around. I'm glad I bought the color, as it is a lot easier to read than the black and white models. I have two buddies who have the black and white model of the magellan and they both have indicated how much easier mine is to read. I haven't even come close to using this gps to it's full potential. I imagine when I do I'll have more to write. For basic navigation, this is a easy and fun unit to use.
Batteries go quickly, so be sure to buy a car adaptor when you are using it in the car. They are cheap at around 20 bucks. Also, the mapsend software that you can purchase can be a little tricky at first, but for any user who is familiar with computers can figure it out rather quickly. It should be noted that the free tech support I have got from magellan has been outstanding. If I have a question, I call them and 99 percent of the time I get them within 5 minutes and they are able to help. Very nice people there. Overall I like my gps, for 280 bucks it's been fun. Be sure to buy a sd card for the unit. I bought a 64 meg card and that was perfect for where I live and travel.
