Maxent MX-42VM10
Written: Jan 22, 2005
Rated a Show Review by the Epinions community
The Maxent MX-42VM10 has the same specs, just built-in speakers that can't be seen from the front.
Purchased this at Best Buy and have had it for approx. 6 months. Haven't had any issues. Picture quality is decent, color and contrast is good enough for the average user like me that has it hooked up to a DirecTV/Tivo with standard broadcast resolution. Have the DVD hooked up through the component input, and it is good for the money. Has a VGA input, with is handy for slideshows of digital photos off a laptop. Due to the EDTV resolution you won't enjoy full SVGA resolution. The remote control is pretty basic and large. Unfortunately Maxent doesn't seem to use a standard remote control frequency, so my universal Tivo remote doesn't control it (all I want is on/off and input select).
