Purchased Nov 2005. Wanted bottom freezer and constrained by width of space.

Dec 2006 Cold air diffuser Damper failed and started making very loud grinding noises.
Jan 2007- Replacement diffuser damper motor fails and replaced.
Jun 2009 - Compressor catches fire !

Awaiting replacement of compressor or fridge under extended warranty from store fridge purchased from.

Maytag servicing and help as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

Basic advice don't buy a Maytag because they will not last.
