Pros: Lots of features.
Cons: Noisy. "Energy efficient" means not enough water, and hot water is barely warm.
The Bottom Line: Not worthy of Maytag name.

I bought the Home Depot version of this washer and was very disappointed in the design and quality:
1. The ATC (automatic temperature control) settings were absurd. The HOT setting was only 90F! This is lukewarm at best. The WARM setting was 85F, which Maytag admits on their website is considered COLD by clothing manufacturers. When I called Maytag about the temperature settings, they said that energy-conscious consumers in CA wanted this. Personally, I want clean laundry. If someone wants to wash their whites in cold, then they should set their machine to COLD. I give Maytag an 'F' on this.
2. The water level doesn't go high enough. On MAX, it is about 8" from the top. Following their recommendation for filling with clothes to the top row of holes, there is not enough water to properly wash the clothes. On the phone, they told me the solution was to put in fewer clothes, and ignore the user's manual recommendations. Gee, thanks Maytag.
3. Burning smell - the new machine had a strong burning smell. It eventually went away.
4. NOISY machine. After many attempts to level this beast, it still makes an awful lot more noise than any machine I've ever owned.
5. Poor service. Not very helpful on the phone, and they don't know how/if they can fix the water level issue, but still absolutely refuse to replace the machine.
