Pros: Great Sennheiser quality at really low price Wider frequencyrange than SHURESM58 Indestructible Sleak design
Cons: Bass feature can make bass little floppy says www.humanbeatbox.com, they hit low beats though
The Sennheiser E835 is the same price and has much more versatility and smart design. You get more frequency range, and a more durable unit. XLR input is much easier to repair than SM58 XLR input. Smarter design and more features to accentuate live vocals. Sennheiser is world renowned for their quality in microphones. For the price it is amazing to get a Sennheiser with all of there product knowledge, innovation, reliability and pure sound quality. If you were thinking of getting a Shure SM58 for an inexpensive mid-hi quality mic, then switch to the Sennheiser E835 and listen to the difference yourself. I play noise music and literally have thrown my mic down 5 flights of stairs and into at least 20 walls and I still use it in my rock band the next day for my lead singer. Still sounds great. These things are tanks. Plus you get a much sleaker design than the old fashioned ball and rod look of the Shure SM58.
