The Wireless Intellimouse Explorer is a great mouse to use for almost anyone. Users of typical Microsoft mice will take a bit of getting used to the size of the mouse. It's considerably higher than typical mice, but has a great feel for your hands.
Typical two buttons and wheel function as they should; mouse has two other buttons you can program according to your preferences.
The mouse works with two AA batteries and transmits information to a mouse-shaped receiver (USB connectivity). Occasionally you may have to reset both, usually when changing batteries. This is a short and easy process.
I've had occasional annoyances with this mouse, instances where the mouse simply stops all movement on screen and I have to click to "reset" it. Other than that, its only downside is its short battery life. I use my computer on a daily basis, and the mouse continues operating for several hours a day. This can get 'tiring' for the mouse, and its batteries have a tendency to run out quickly. Other than that, no problems.
