Pros: Macro using flash is right on; overall colors, sharpness, ease are all very good
Cons: lens cover strength; battery life as on all digital cameras
The Bottom Line: Happy I bought it and would recommend it as a good no brainer 3.2 mp camera

| tc4all's Full Review: Konica Minolta DiMAGE E323 Digital Camera |
I know there are many new cameras coming out this year n the 4 to 8 megapix range, therefore I didn't want to spend a lot. COSTCO had the Minolta DiMage E323 on sale for $190. I check some review sites and found it was good to excellent throughout everything. I bought it.
The camera is small but not not too small to hold. I wanted, and it has, a true optical zoom which again, was unusual for the money in a 3.2 megapixel camera. One thing I saw in the reviews and needed was a macro that worked well with its flash. This one does with no glare. It beats out many higher priced cameras in this area. I take pictures to sell items and this is just what I needed to show detail.
I am new to digital photography, but have owned and used the best in 35mm. For the Internet, this does an excellent job in colors, details, macro, and telephoto. Colors are rich and honest. The auto settings work fine. I have yet to print anything as that is not my main reason for owning this.
If you want a lot of manual operation options this is not sophisticated enough for you. If you want to have a handy, inexpensive 3.2 mp camera that can do via point and shoot, what many try to do by controls, this works perfectly. It is a winner at up to about $275 from what I have seen.
