| gobicanuck's Full Review: Konica Minolta DiMAGE E323 Digital Camera |
I have read a lot of complaints about the body of the Minolta E323 and I have to say that I have had no problems with its construction at all. I Have had the Camera for over 2 years now, and I have never had an issue with it. I have dropped it off a balcony two stories up. It was my best friends backpacking through China.
I originally bought this camera because it was the best bang for my buck. I was a college student at the time and I needed a camera that took good picture but wouldn't cost my student loan in order to purchase it. I believe I paid around $300 CDN for it just over 2 years ago.
I have lots of friends with camera's with more Mega pixels and more features, but what I love about the E323 is that it take 10 seconds to set up and then you can just shoot away and you never have to worry if the picture will turn out or not.
I have a Nikon F55 for the special occations, but my Minolta is my real love. I bought it to take to Camp with me, and it survived with flying colours, camping trips, kids playing with it, road trips and campfires. With no caution at all I would let my campers use it for the day knowing that it would be fine.
I have since taken it to China with me where I currently use it. I went backpacking with it this summer and have over 1000 pictures to show for it. There has never been a malfunction of any sort ever. And I don't think there ever will be.
On the downside, the inside shots are brutal unless you are 2 feet away, but that is seen with most point and shoot cameras. The shutter speed is also a little slow, but nothing I can't manage.
