Pros: Quick "ready" time. Low cost per copy.
Cons: Better have a maintenance agreement!
The Bottom Line: If cheap is what you want, cheap is what you'll get. Personally, move up the line a step.

| tonerdrumman's Full Review: Konica Minolta EP1031/1031F CS/PRO Black and White... |
This is Minolta's desktop copier... something that they have in just about every generation of analog copiers since the mid-1980. They have never been the "quality leaders" of the line and this machine is no exception. While it comes ready nearly immediately, the very feature that lets it do that is one of it's most frequent failures. It uses a ceramic heater built into the Fuser Roller versus the normal halogen lamp. A nice idea, but poorly executed. The Roller tends to short and arc. There have also been problems with the Developing Unit dumping toner. These are correctible but make the machine high maintenance. You definitely want to take out the Agreement on this machine.
