zeniac's Full Review: Mirage OMNISAT v2 CC Center Speaker
I originally bought two of these speakers to be used as surround speakers for my home theatre system as my wife did not like the large traditional bookshelf speakers I was using. The omnisound system works as stated and the Omnisats worked so well as surround speakers that I did a comparison with my existing B&O Redline's that I was using as my fronts. Without the subwoofer activated, the Omnisats are a bit brighter than the B&O's, and do not do not have the presence of the B&O's. Bass is also lacking, however, with the sub activated it changes the entire sound field and although they don't have quite as good of midrange as the B&O's, for the minimal investment with Vann's great clearance price, the sound is incredible. After running my test run with the Omnisats up front I made the decision to purchase 3 more and too replace my L/C/R speakers with Nominates all around. This will please my wife a great deal as it will eliminate the bulky speaker system I have now to 5 small footprints on the ceiling. I will follow up with a review once I get them installed and run in, but I have no doubt that there isn't another speaker system that can match the Mirage Omnisat performance at these clearance prices.
ps peformance is rated as a 5 in comparison with other speakers in this price range.
