| avmgr's Full Review: Mitsubishi WS-65813 65 in. HDTV CRT TV |
The Mitsubishi Diamond (WS65913/ WS55813) for 2004 is probably the best rear projection TV on the market today. The 9" CRT guns are unsurpassed. The Net Command system works extremely well if you know how to set it up. The High definition tuner that is integrated decodes the local digital feeds flawlessly. The quality of the picture from the integrated tuner is totally dependent on the feed from the local stations. In the Los Angeles market, all the major stations broadcast a digital feed, but few of these are high definition. Prime time hours have the most true HD feeds. The colors are realistic, rich and vibrant!
The 5 card reader is excellent for those who have digital cameras or DV camcorders. The door flap to the card readers could be a bit sturdier and is tough to close, but that is a minor draw back.
Mitsubishi specs do not indicate that the DVI port supports 720p , and I confirmed that in an independent test. The Firewire ports are a breeze to record HD from. Just connect a Digital VCR and you are on your way. The large remote is easy to use and allows easy access with the lighted pad.
