Ease of Use:
Pros:Cheap, looks good (case colors), energy star compliant
Cons:Not really flat, reflection/ghosting problem
The Bottom Line: Decent cheap fake-flat monitor, but the reflection problem can drive you crazy.
Picked up this monitor at Staples recently. For the cost, it's actually a nice monitor. However, if you look closely it looks like it's just a regular curved CRT screen behind a flat piece of glass. The default display settings out of the box leave about a quarter inch of blank space between the picture and the edges. If it was truly flat, the picture would be a near perfect square around the edges like a lot of the flat panel LCD's are. There are some settings where you can attempt to achieve that, but after an hour of trying it's just a big waste of time. Once you get one side lined up just right, the other side gets messed up with slants and curves.

The other reviews about a reflection flaw are correct. The curved monitor on the inside will reflect off the flat glass and give off a weird ghosting effect on both light and dark colors. It really stands out on darker ones though. A simple way to test this is to turn off any wallpaper on the desktop and set the background color to black. You'll see the reflections of the desktop icons, cursor, windows taskbar and any text on there bright enough to bounce off the flat glass and back onto the internal monitor. This can be an annoyance (especially to your eyes) if you like to use dark wallpapers or dark themed colors for your windows settings.
I think the reflection of the Windows taskbar looking curved is a dead giveaway that this is not a true flat screen tube. Also it seems the picture loses sharpness toward the edges of the monitor. Once again this makes sense, being a curved monitor behind a flat glass. The middle of the curved monitor is closest to the flat glass cover, giving the best picture in that area, while the edges and corners are furthest away, resulting in a slight loss of sharpness/brightness there.
If you need a cheap monitor for a spare system that isn't going to get much use, this will probably do very nicely. If you're looking for a good flat screen that isn't going to annoy you (and your eyes) sooner or later, check out some other brands.
3/25 Update: This monitor began to have some display problems after about a month of use. They looked to be strange trembling moire patterns, but only around the edges of applications. I ended up returning it for a refund.
