| mstarks's Full Review: Abit BE6-II Motherboard |
As a systems technician, I have built several systems. Abit continues to exceed my expectations in stability, features and bang-for-the-buck.
The BE6 II is ideal for both the serious computer enthusiast and those simply wanting a stable system. Carving a niche' for overclockers, this board has many friendly options. One of the best is the jumperless configuration. Pop in a processor and select the multiplier, bus speed and voltage all in the CMOS setup. The ULTRA DMA 66 hard drive controller was slightly ahead of its time. Even today, with higher bus speed boards coming out, the BE6 II remains a great buy.
I thought so much of it, I bought one for myself. I'm currently running a 300a Mhz Celeron processor overclocked to 450Mhz. Not only is it the most stable board I have owned for an overclocked unit, it is the most stable I've owned period.
I continue to recommend them to my clients and have no reservation making a high recommendation here.
