This excellent motherboard has been in my computer since it was avalible on the market. It offers frontside bus settings up to 200MHZ, a heatsink protected BX chipset, and large capacitors. These "techie" features lead to a motherboard that is future-proof and very stable. I use this board to overclock my PIII 600E to 800mhz. It runs very solidly and has no overclocking related crashes. The only negatives about this board come not in its performance, but in its BX chipset itself. In one word, BX is old. BX is the fastest, most stable motherboard chipset out there right now, but its showing its age. For one thing there is no ATA/66 support, meaning that before long, the newest, fastest hard drives will be too fast for it. ABIT tries to solve this with a HPT366 ATA/66 controller on board, but this chip in a word SUCKS. It doesnt even work properly with Linux, or my new IBM hard drive. For this reason, Im giving the board a 4 out of 5. Its a great board if you know what your doing, or if you want stability, but it is starting to show its age.
