| ttsui01's Full Review: Abit BP6 Motherboard |
Have you ever felt like you paid too much for a computer? With Abit BP6, I certainly did not. In fact, I feel I paid too little for the powerful machine I just built.
Abit BP6 is one of the most stable, easy to use, feature-filled motherboard I have ever used. It allow you to use 2 Celeron PPGA cpus when used in conjunction with Windows NT or Windows 2000. 3 DIMM slots is plenty enough for adding memory. 5PCI/2ISA slots will allow you to add as many addon cards as you want. The other stuff are pretty standard like 2 USB ports, parallel, serial, PS/2.
Its software jumper allows you to configure everything without having to actually touch the motherboard itself.
By using this motherboard and two 466MHz Celerons, I was able to create a computer faster than most Pentium III 700-800 systems. And all this for about a half of the cost!
I have successfully installed Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and BeOS 5.0 personal edition. Get this while supplies last, I'm planning on using the same motherboard for my next system. Who cares about Rambus and the whole 820 chipset fiasco, stick with the BX motherboards!!!!!
