Opinion Summary
Best avoided unless free and you are a tinkerer with lots of time.

Pros: Cheap or free. Overclockability potential. Runs any socket 7 cpu.
Cons: Not very stable. Compatability issues. ISA problems. Slower than some other MVP3 boards.

ISA issues probably not the board's fault. (Reply to this comment)

Older Creative products were notorious for creating IRQ conflicts on early plug-and-play hardware, especially non-Intel systems. I've used any number of ISA cards (none by Creative, though) on a VA-503 and never had an issue. Also, try Windows 2000. You'll get the stability of XP without all the bloat. Windows 98SE with the unofficial Service Pack (http://exuberant.ms11.net/98sesp.html) also works great on this board.

Just a comment as your review was off to a great start, skipped around a bit, but helpful nonetheless. Just a bit more information about the card, specifications, details, you started with a few about clock speed, but not enough as a really helpful review for a buying decision.

Great start, but craving a bit more about the Features & Details. If you happen to update or add feel free to email me I'll be happy to review it again
