The Mr. Coffee TF12 12-Cup Coffee Maker is one of those coffee makers that you don't really rave about or complain all that much about. It makes decent coffee and at least in our office, it's been a quiet workhorse making coffee each morning without any problems.

But what about the coffee you ask, well the coffee it makes is pretty average too. I have had much better and much worse, but I am generally happy with the cup of coffee that I have each morning once I have gotten to the office. I guess you could say that it is an average coffee maker for home or for a small office like ours.
On the plus side, this coffee maker is about as simple as they come nowadays. The only option for the TF12 is to turn it on or off. There is no timer, no clock, nor or any programmable special functions available on this coffee maker. The only "special" function is the brew and pour option, which lets you take the pot and fill a cup and stop the brewing before it's completely finished since the a little spring closes off the brew basket when you remove the coffee pot. I don't use this function since I think the coffee tastes better when you've let the whole pot brew.
I would say that on the whole, the TF12 brews the coffee at a nice and high temperature, so that is a plus.
Using the TF12 is easy. The water reservoir is easy to fill and easy to fill to the level you want since the coffee maker lets you see the water level from the outside and the number of cups are clearly marked so you can see how much you will be brewing.
The TF12 makes up to 12 cups at once, though at our office, we usually use it for 6-8 cups at a time. The brew basket accepts regular paper coffee filters and there's enough depth that you could actually double the grounds if you wanted to brew iced coffee. Brewing time is average for this machine and what I expect from a home coffee maker. For our office, it makes about 8 cups of coffee in around 5 minutes. The full 12 cups takes a little longer.
The heating element underneath the glass coffee pot keeps the coffee hot, though if the pot gets low, it can actually boil off the coffee if you are not paying attention.
The machine is easy to clean. The glass coffee pot has a plastic lid that is easy to wipe and scrub and the pot itself has a wide open that makes it easy to get in and scrub any stains or burned coffee. The brew basket is removable so you can wash it. The only real hard part to clean is the water reservoir, which we just rinse out from time to time and wipe the best we can.
This coffee maker serves the needs of my small office well. There are two of us who drink coffee regularly and we've been brewing a morning pot of coffee for quite some time on the machine. I like how easy it is to use and how easy it is to clean. The coffee produced is okay and at the very least, is hot when it is brewed, which is something that can't be said for some other similar coffee makers I have used in the past. I think I would consider other coffee makers before this one if I was shopping for a home coffee maker, but on the whole, this is a good coffee maker. The reasons I wouldn't want it at home have more to do with the lack of a programmable brew function. I like to wake up to my coffee brewing.
If you are in the market for a simple, no frills coffee maker, it might be worth your time to consider the Mr. Coffee TF12 12-Cup Coffee Maker. We have been using ours in the office for a while and it has consistently produced coffee without any problems. It is easy to use and it is easy to clean.
