I purchased this camera 2 days ago and have already returned it. Right out of the box it seemed a bit cheep feeling. (con #1) But I figured most of the newer cameras are getting smaller and lighter so I grabbed a couple batteries and attempted to see how things worked. It was extremely slow to start up. (con #2) When it finally decided it was ready to take a picture, I had to flip through the manual to try to understand the menus. (con #3) This was a surprise to me since I purchased a digital camera at an auction once with no manual and it was quite easy to figure out, even without instructions. When I finally got through the “basics” I took a few pictures indoors, with and without the flash. Then went outside a took a few more so I could get the full range of results. When I went to view them on the LCD it took f o r e v e r to go from one picture to the next. (con#4) Then, I went to the computer to take a peek. What a DISAPPOINTMENT !!. The camera I had previous to this purchase was a 2.1 MP (vivitar 3615 – totally satisfied, until my kids dropped it in a mud puddle when we were camping, hence the needed replacement) and I figured this new one being a 3.1 MP would be at least a little better. NO SUCH LUCK… The pictures had a very drab color to them, and they were almost blurry, every single one, indoors and out. (con#5) So back to the instructions to see what may be the problem. Well after two days of reading and pushing buttons, nothing has changed, except my blood pressure. I would not recommend this camera for any reason to anyone at all. The only good part about the whole purchase was that when I returned it, the woman that helped me was very nice, even though I am sure I was in a bad mood.
