My Science Project - If Only High School Was This Cool!
by Freak369 | Jul 13 '02
Pros: Fun film, great cast of characters, Dennis Hopper as a hippie.
Cons: It's a 1985 film so the special effects are a little sloppy.

Well,

I'm not totally sure, but I think that falling off the face of the Earth figured rather significantly into it.

Zapped - is that the one with Willie Ames and Scott Baio? What ever happened to those two anyway?

Um,

They starred together in Charles in Charge, duh! [G]

Well, let's not forget all the "parents and kids swap lives / bodies / careers" assortment. The worst has to be the one with Kirk Cameron and Dudley Moore [the name escapes me]. Weird Science was a staple since it fell into the Brat Pack / John Hughs era of films. Real Genius is simply an awesome flick and even though I have it on tape, I can't pull myself to turn it off when HBO runs it on the weekends.

Hi quasar,

If Weird Science is you least favorite "high school science gone wrong" movie, then I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you haven't seen Zapped! or The Invisible Kid.

I don't know how Freak feels about it, but Wierd Science is my least favorite of this genre of movies. It's still good but it's more in the normal vein of teen flicks than the others.

I love this movie. Actually all of the high school science gone wrong movies of the 80s like this one and Real Genius (my fave). Thanks for the pleasant memories!

Hi Freak,

So, how does this movie compare to that classic film, Weird Science?

Due to a glitch in the Epinion's editing system, there are a few misspelled words - as soon as this is resolved I'll be sure to change them.
