Shlade's Full Review: NBA Inside Drive 2000 for Windows
NBA Inside drive 2000 is a good attempt at a basketball game by Microsoft, but there are clearly better basketball games out there. I have every NBA live game up to 1999, and was not too impressed with the changes made every year. I saw this game sitting on the shelves, on sale, and said to myself, "Sure, why not." WOW, I was so wrong to get this.
The game had some nice graphics and stats on the box. However, when I played it, it just stunk. The game was void of all the great features of its competition. You are not able to create a player! The controls are very choppy, the commentators are annoying, and the game is just not that fun. Your offense and defense is limited to the simple pass, shoot, block and steal commands. I do have to say that the players are made to be somewhat realistic. I mean, shooting three's with shaq is not a good thing. But other than that, it is not that good.
If anyone is thinking about getting a basketball game, I would recommend sticking with NBA LIVE whatever year it is. It is probably the best basketball game on the market. It has all the features that allow users to have some flexibility. Basically, dont get this.
