bofnyc's Full Review: NBA Inside Drive 2000 for Windows
I really enjoyed NBA Live '99, and I had heard some good things about Inside Drive. So I thought I would give it a try. There are some good things about this game--some very good things. The graphics are awesome. It just looks cool--much better than NBA Live. Plus, the fact that you can download the most current rosters is excellent. I don't know if Microsoft is updating that on their site throughout the season, but I had updated rosters when the season started, which was excellent. You can't do that with NBA Live (as far as I know). But that's about it for the good stuff. The game plays pretty well, but it's not realistic. I had a game where Sean Kemp fouled out in the first quarter. I had another where Brevin Knight had 30 points in the first quarter. It just doesn't have the realism of NBA Live. If there was a way to combine the 2 games, it would be perfect. Otherwise, I'd stick with NBA Live.
