NHL 2002 is by far one of the best games I have ever played. It includes fantastic graphics. Probably the most realistic for any sports game I've ever played.
The artificial intelligence in this game is incredible. The players seem to think what they're going to do without you telling them.
The commentary in this video game will absolutely blow you away. Unlike previous versions, the repetitiveness of what they say is cut away. It seems as if they find something new to say every time they speak.
One of the best pros about this game is the importing feature. Now you can import your own music straight into the game, with reverb for effect if you please. Importing faces for the Create a Player is also available.
You can also create a realistic face with the Create a Player feature. This time, it doesn't just look like a fake person, but you in a hockey uniform.
However, the same intro videos to the game begin to get old after a few games after you are dazzled by the first few. You begin to say to yourself, "OK! Get on with the game already!"
This version though seems to relate to its previous one, so NHL 2000 players should wait on this one and go with NHL 2003.
