| vertigort's Full Review: Nakamichi CD-35 CD Changer |
The cd-z series is very comparable to Naki's CD-700. I own the 35Z and the sound is VERY impressive. Its controls are very basic, and simple, a nice attribute when driving any speed. The body of the stereo is attractive, but not a 'steal me' when seen from the outside. I am as of now using the player with a 4 speaker system with Nakamichi speakers all the way around. (5 1/4 and 6.5s) It is also hooked up to a 150W 2 channel Audiobahn amp. (Not a great amp, but the deck has managed to make up for it quite well!)which is hooked to two 10" Nakamichi subs. The sound it reproduces is still rich, by which I mean: You can still hear the highs PERFECTLY even with subs on. Id easily recommend this stereo to ANYONE. The only down side is how touchy the system is about scratches. I have chalked this up to thats how the system gets such great sound by using the lens to almost STARE at every bit of the cd. It also cant play writable cds... Not a great thing, but buying a cd of the song you want to hear usually pays in the long run anyway.
