Takes unbelievably good pictures! in some of the worse lighting too.
To tell you how well its built..Behold "The Battery latch" It has a proper double latch system (one inside) which means battery doesnt force itself on the battery door. buttons "Cannot" be pressed accidentally, it feels nice to hold.. the grip is ergonomic. shutter lag is minimal..
without shouting (hey look at me I have a huge lens)..
Wide Zoom makes all the difference..in both outdoor and indoor shots. Macro shots can be a bit tricky though because the lens might cast a shadow.. but I wouldnt hold it against it at all, I simply havent investigated good lighting for those type of shots.
Battery has lasted since I charged. In its 4rd day after purchase and Ive been using it for over 30 mins a day. Many powerups and powerdowns copying operations, from xd to cf and taking over 6 loads of a 128 meg card, zooming, playing with menus and viewfinder.. and it still says it has a full battery.
I was an instant critic of this camera before I bought it. I thought it looked a bit ugly..I was planning on going for a nikon 8700.. then Im glad I saw sample pictures. They quality is stunning!!
only thing thats taken a while to properly grasp is the menu system! but Im sure ill learn all its options. it has a lot which could have been explained in a printed manual instead of a pdf one.
