| mikibee's Full Review: Olympus Camedia C-300 Zoom Digital Camera |
My in-laws bought us this camera for Christmas so we could better keep them up-to-date on their grandchildren.
This is the first digital camera I've ever owned, and after having gone through the manual to figure out how to use it, I find it to be as simple as a regular camera. It's basically just point and click! It's takes awesome pictures, even in the lower resolutions!
It uses a Smart Card which makes it really simple to share and download. The cards are cheap, which makes having several on hand obtainable for cheapskates like me!
It has a lot of nice features like digital zoom, panoramic, self portraits, nighttime picture take, and several more that are easy to use once you figure it out. It also shoots short movies (no sound, but that's alright). It has some editing capabilities, but I prefer to use my own photo software for that kind of stuff.
I'd expect this quality of a camera to cost a lot more, but for the novice and/or casual user, this camera is perfect. When the photos are printed in the HQ or SHQ resolutions, the pictures come out just as good as a regular film based camera.
