Consistently good, but needs some work to optimize ease of use

Pros: Clear pictures with great color, decent price and hard lens cover.
Cons: Noisy even when sound is turned "off," and not very user friendly
The Bottom Line: Great for those with an intermediate knowledge of digital camera's. Not the best for those looking for a camera that is easy to use without having to read the manual.

I took my camera out for its' innagural use this weekend.
Overall, I was pleased with it's clarity, but some of the functions could use some work.
For instance, we happened to be in a Church on Sunday, and wanted the camera as silent as could be so as not to disturb those around us. After locating the "sound off" button we were disappointed that when first turned on, the camera still has it's opening little noise (which is quite loud might I add!). The buttons themselves no longer made noise when pressed, but the sound that was emitted when it was turned on was enough of a disturbance and caused a couple turning of heads.
There is no "exit" or "cancel" button, which was a bit of an impediment when having to switch between modes or functions quickly.
Seeing a "film strip" version of the pictures was a little tricky to get to. Also, the "auto" function used outside (letting the camera decide whether or not to use the flash) produced photos that were way too light in color. The manual said that there is a way to reduce the "white" in the photos, but I have yet to attempt this function.
I'd say that this camera was great for the intermediate digital camera lover. There are a lot of features that allow for great individualized photo types-but the ease of getting to the functions which allow this individualization are quite challenging.
