Any Sling is better than no sling . .

Pros: great for hip carrying older babies and toddlers. Nicely padded shoulder.

Cons: The padding in the body of the sling is too bulky

The Bottom Line: A good sling for older babies in mild climates.

This is not my favorite sling. That being said, it was my first sling, and served me very well. It is now my "loaner" or "back-up" sling.

I mainly used this sling with my then one year old until he was around two--at which time I got pregnant again and was not carrying anyone around in a sling.

It was wonderful for carrying William around in a hip carry. It padded his legs well, and the padded shoulder was comfortable for me.

I loved the wide variety of prints available, from funky to subdued to novelty.

I liked that I could discreetly nurse my toddler in situations where it may have been embarassing to nurse him.

What I did not like was that the padding in the body of the sling made it very bulky. Wheras my other two slings can easily be folded up and store in my smaller diaper bag, this sling would not fit in my large diaper bag, even if it were the only item in it.

Also the closed tail with a ring attached seems like a nice safety feature, but truth be told, I have never feared the fabric tail sliding out of the rings in my open tailed slings. And I prefer an open tail to use to shield my baby's face from wind or sun.

I do like this sling, and highly recommend it for older babies in mild climates (it can be way too hot in the summer!). It is not my favorite--but if it were the only sling available on a deserted island I would not turn it down!
