Re: battery life and sturdiness (Reply to this comment)

I don't know about battery life as I have my Sony Clie just under six months. It still seems to be holding its charge without any deterioration, although one would expect that. I don't know whether battery replacement is a user task but a stop at your local Best Buy's service department should answer that question.
I often carry my Clie in my back pants pocket. I'm sure it's not the best thing for it but it's lightweight, has rounded corners, and is small enough to fit comfortably. Alternatively I use my shirt or inside jacket pocket.
I'm still very pleased with it. Good luck in your decision.

battery life and sturdiness (Reply to this comment)

Good review. My handspring visor just died a few days ago and I am thinking of replacing it. I am quite weary of spending big bucks, as my handspring died 2 years after getting it--the battery is dead I think. Should last much more than 2 years in my opinion...
Anyways, any idea what the life expectancy of the sony battery is? Can it be replaced by me, or does Sony have to do it?
Also, will this PDA be OK in my pant back pocket? The handspring was nice and sturdy, so I did not worry about being there. I don't like the weight of it in my front pocket.
Thanks!
