I was looking for an electronic address book and organizer, hadn't really considered a PDA until I saw where the prices had come down too. I wanted something I could put into a shirt pocket and this was it. I've since moved it to a cell phone holder on my hip. Not because it was too big or heavy, but it was always falling out when I was working on a copier. Not it's fault, just the type of shirt we wear. I didn't need anything fancy, but this does so much I'm continually finding new uses for it. Documents to Go and spreadsheet capability has me doing all sorts of things with it. Company vehicle log, carstock of parts, common part numbers and maintanance intervals, grocery comparison shopping. To Do list I track what I've used out of carstock, and complete it when it has been replenished. Date book I use to track every copier/fax/printer I've worked on since buying it. Being able to specify categories for different files, lists, and addresses keeps things neat and tidy. Everything pops up very quickly, even large multi-sheet spreadsheets.
I thought about the SJ10 but wanted the rechargeable battery and 16 Meg of memory. But with everything I've put on this thing I've only used a little over 4 Meg. I usually run two to three days before recharging and have never gone below 60% charge.
I will probably get a cradle eventually, it would have been nice to have it included. I bought a pen with a stylus tip as the included stylus is a bit small if you're doing a lot of grafiti writing with it. While I don't really expect to buy any of the expansion devices available for it I've got to ding it a little for the proprietary expansion slot. Another minor dislike is that Docs-to-Go comes up with a splash screen the first time everyday.
