I have purchased and returned 6 of these cameras, over the course of the past few weeks. Actually it was the bl-c30c, not the bl-c30a, but I don't see any differences between the two.

I wanted use it as a security camera for my house. Feature-wise, it is excellent and well thought out. I was able to get it to do everything it claimed. The main issue was their reliability. Of the six cameras I bought, 3 of them already had - or eventually had - problems with their wireless connectivity. They would be working fine, then after a week or so, the wireless connection simply stopped working. Of the cameras that did not suffer this demise, the issue was the image quality. The first 2 cameras I purchased had excellent focus (but no wireless connectivity). The remainder all had unfocused/fuzzy image quality, regardless of the "favour quality" setting. For $400 Canadian dollars, I expect much better overall quality. After all, at this price one could buy entire PC!!
I can not recommend this camera since it is prone to premature failure.
I generally regard Panasonic as a company that produces quality products. This camera defintely falls short of that standard.
