Pros: Great tuner, excellent amp power and sound quality in this price range
Cons: Controls a little odd sometimes, but easily learned.
The Bottom Line: This company makes excellent value for the money, proven to me time after time over the last 35 yrs.

I recently bought one of these from the local electronics warehouse, and I was very pleasantly surprised at what a good sounding and nice rig it is. It does everything I think a good unit should, and then some!
It has plenty of power, clean crisp sound, a few preset equalization choices, bass and treble controls, a rotary volume control, and a nice display that gives just the needed info on tracks or frequencies and bands, without the need for entertaining graphics.
The tuner section seems to be very good at pulling in all the stations in my area and seems also to resist multi-path distortions and other esoteric reception problems, and just delivers decent stereo music and speech. I like that, because some tuners, as hyper as they may be, are also too busy switching back and forth between stereo and mono, and doing lots of other weird things rather than concentrating on just delivering a decent and solid signal from the antenna.
Controls are a little odd to me, and not always intuitive, but they are quickly learned and pretty simple. I like that too, as I would just as soon NOT have to punch some mad button sequence just to change bands, find stations, or change tone control settings. At 58, I have enough to do to maintain concentration on traffic on the freeway without having a bunch of arcane features beyond the basics.
