| cadydidalot's Full Review: Panasonic PT-50LC13 50 in. HDTV LCD TV |
Purchased in fall of 2003, its now winter of 2007. We just had our 5th bulb go out 3 days before Christmas (of course there is no one open). The last time out temperamental TV went out on us, it was super bowl time. I'm still trying to figure out what my husband and I did to P___ it off. Surely Panasonic wouldn't sell us a bad product, and then make you spend hours on the phone asking for help. Think again. The extended warranty was purchased through Best Buy. We talked to both best buy and Panasonic for answers and support; we did not leave with good costumer service from either. There was one time it took the service center over a month to finish up the repairs. The Best Buy warranty states we are supposed to get a new product after three failures. Well not so much, even thought the original contract stated that bulbs were covered Best buy then stated that they would not cover bulb replacement. We actually had to buy our bulb the third time. In the end it was just so much trouble I gave up on getting a new TV, too much drama. I settled for a new light bulb free of charge. Panasonic wants to pretend they know nothing about a bulb failure rate. Wish me luck I'm going to try and get credit towards a new TV. Watch out, this TV looks good, like a super model; but its really a dressed up 90 year women who over did the botox and plastic surgery.
