| gtr225's Full Review: Panasonic SL-SV550 Personal CD Player |
I originally purchased this CD player after my other one cracked in half when I dropped it. I have found this CD player to be a very good value because it can play MP3's, CD's and the radio. The instruction manual also instructs you on how to burn MP3's properly to a disc and have them playback in the order you would want on the CD player. It gets good battery time for it's price (about 35 hours with MP3's). The skip protection works perfectly, with two different modes, 10 second and 45 second skip protection. It's design is very nice in the way that it is light-weight and the battery compartment is on the inside (no external battery door to worry about breaking off). It does have a lot of buttons, but once mastered they become like second nature. I have found only 3 things I don't like about it, it doesn't go as loud as other CD players, no WMA playback, and it's not compatible with the panasonic rechargable batteries/charger kit. Overall though, for the price it's an excellent value.
