| jmclean's Full Review: Paradigm Titan Main / Stereo Speaker |
I needed a decent pair of speakers for under $200 that I could later add a subwoofer to build a top-notch system for both home theater and music.
I was very close to purchasing the Cambridge Soundworks New Ensemble II which can be had for $185 refurbed on E-Bay.
After reading lot's of reviews online I was hoping to listen to some Paradigm speakers first but there were no dealers nearby.
I drove to North Conway, NH finally and listened to the Paradigm Atom which sounded great for $189. They didn't have the Atom instock and offered me the Titans for the same price (normally $229) so of course I took them!
I am not an expert but I have to say that these speakers just sound great! From what I read they invested their money in to making the best sound possible for the low price tag. So the grille is not removable - fine with me - my old pair of pinnacles look funny because the grilles warped slightly over ther years- also one of the domes was pushed in by a curious kid- these are problems I don't need to worry about.
The speaker looks nice in black and has decent binding posts instead of clips.
Overall - Great!
