We've had our camera for a few years now. My parents bought one and I was impressed with the features so when it went on sale I purchased one myself.
One of the pros are that it has 5x optical zoom. This is hard to find in most bargain priced cameras. Most cameras only have 3x. Also, I like that I can video anything with sound for the life of the memory card. Sometimes, the video can come out a bit dark if the lighting is not good in the room.
The pictures do come out good--sometimes. It does not have image stabilization so sometimes my pictures come out blurry. This frustrates me. This alone is a reason I may upgrade and get another camera.
Some of the cons are the size of the memory card it holds, the size of the preview screen, and the camera is a bit heavy. The camera can only hold up to a 512 MB memory card. Most cameras nowadays can hold up to at least 2 GB.
The size of the preview screen is too small. It's hard to tell if that picture came out great or not because it is hard to see.
Also, I wish the camera was a bit lighter. It can get heavy after carrying it around all day,
The battery life is pretty good. I like that it uses a lithium battery versus AA batteries.
Overall, I like my camera but the image stabilization can be an issue.
