| jljohnston's Full Review: Philips 34PW9847 34 inch TV |
This now antiquated HDTV is still lovely to look at, with it's "piano black" finish and matching stand. But four years into it's ownership, it is now dead with costly power supply problems. At the time I purchased it, CRT models had superior picture quality to plasma and LCD models. Now not the case.
The six speaker audio was outstanding (built in subwoofer) and the picture quality as well (invaluable automatic adjustment of screen size). The included "Pronto" touch screen remote didn't last long and had to be replaced by a conventional remote from a lesser model on eBay.
At 160#, it is hardly a movable object. Now it's just a big black anchor in my den.
